PURPOSE:To make it possible to sufficiently secure the working space by turning a tool grip between an attaching/detaching position and holding position, thereby making it possible to fit to and remove from a spindle with the vertical motion of a Z slider moving along a column. CONSTITUTION:A wide machining area is secured because a spring type tool grip 10 is absent from an area where a tool 8 is present at the time when the machining is fished. As a Z slider 3 is lifted, only the Z slider 3 and a spindle head 4 are lifted and a magazine supporting body 7 is not rotated so that the relative positions among the supporting body 7, magazine 9, grip 10 and spindle head 4 are changed. As a lever 112 is brought in contact with a cam 111a, a cam mechanism 11 is operated and the supporting body 7 is turned counter-clockwise and thereby the grip 10 is shifted onto a tool exchange posi tion and pushed to the arbor of the tool 8 so as to be fitted. As the slider 3 is lifted furthermore and a lever 122 is brought in contact with a cam 121, a tool detachable means 6 is operated with the dam mechanism 12 and the tool 8 is not fallen while being removed from a spindle 5 and then the lifting thereof is stopped to rotate the magazine so that an arbitrary tool is made to face the spindle. |
