PURPOSE:To facilitate a processing by rotating a two-dimensional image pattern only by the reading/writing processing and the shifting processing of a line unit and a column unit. CONSTITUTION:When the rotating processing of an image pattern is executed, first, the quasi-field converting processing in the lateral direction is executed by a lateral shifter 12. In the quasi-field converting processing in the lateral direction, a controller 14 increments successively a row address to an image memory 11, line data are successively read to the lateral shifter 12, and the length of a longitudinal direction read to a lateral shifting quantity per unit length is multiplied so as to be in proportion to the length of the longitudinal direction read by the shifting quantity to the line data read at this time and the shifting data of the lateral direction are given to the lateral shifter 12 and the lateral shifting is executed. Next, when the quasi-field converting processing of the longitudinal direction is executed by a longitudinal shifter 13, the image pattern is rotated. |
