The advertising posters (7) affixed to a transparent carrier (6) are displayed by presenting them in front of a light source (10,11) such that at least one poster is illuminated from the rear. The posters are changed by moving the carrier stepwise, with the illumination dimmed or switched-off during change-over. The mechanism used comprises a rectangular housing (1) with a large cut-out (3) in one side (2), contg. the light source behind flexible transparent carrier material between two winding rollers (4,5), which are arranged either side of the cut-out and driven stepwise, with the posters releasably affixed to the carrier. ADVANTAGE - The continual change between bright and dark as the posters are changed provides a max. attraction.
