A combination of universal slicing device and weighing device is proposed, in which the two components may stand next to one another and be connected to one another in a releasable or non-releasable fashion. They must, however, be mounted in such a way that the material cut by the universal slicing device falls directly into the weighing dish. This makes it unnecessary to move material from the universal slicing device to the separate weighing device. Moreover, the weight and costs can be read off continuously as the material is cut.
