PURPOSE:To improve the initial fitting to a piston, and prevent the scuffing and the abnormal wear, by applying an iron plating layer onto a sliding surface of a cylinder made of aluminum alloy, and applying a composite phosphate coating onto the iron plating layer. CONSTITUTION:An iron plating layer 7 is applied onto a sliding surface 3a of a cylinder 3 made of aluminum alloy. A composite phosphate coating 8 of a copper eutectoid is applied onto the iron plating layer 7. Thus, the direct contact between a piston 2 and the iron plating layer 7 at an initial stage of operation may be avoided to thereby prevent the scuffing and the abnormal wear. |
