PURPOSE:To make it possible to heighten the operation rate of a compressor so as to increase the cooling capacity of an air conditioner, by switching a set-temperature for intermittent operation of the compressor into a low value, when an inside air mode is set. CONSTITUTION:When an inside air mode is selected, an inside air mode switch 59 is turned on. As a result, a base current runs in a transistor 52 in a control circuit 46, thereby turning the transistor 52 on. Thus, a resistance 48 is short-circuited. Then, the voltage at point A is raised from the first set voltage to the second that is higher than the first set voltage. As a result, the voltage at point A stays higher than that at point B until the blow-off temperature of an evaporator 15, which is detected by a temperature sensor 57, becomes lower than the second set temperature that is lower than the first. Thus, since the output from a comparator 54 remains '1', the operation of a compressor 31 continues. After this, if the blow-off temperature is lowered down to the second set temperature, the output from the comparator 53 turns '0', and the operation of the compressor 31 is stopped. Since the operation of the compressor 31 is performed intermittently like this between the first and second set temperatures under the inside air mode, the operation rate can be enhanced, while the refrigerating capacity can be increased. |
