PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garbage disposer with a space for accommodating notions such as a bacteria bottle. SOLUTION: In a garbage disposer 1 having a fermentation chamber 3 to treat garbage fed therein with microorganisms, an outlet formed at the bottom of the fermentation chamber 3, and a liquid receiving tray 9 disposed in a region under the fermentation chamber 3 for receiving a liquid discharged from the outlet, the liquid receiving tray 9 has a storage chamber 11 to store the liquid, an isolation chamber 15 isolated from the storage chamber by an isolation wall 13, and the isolation wall 13 prevents the liquid from flowing into the isolation chamber 15 from the storage chamber 11 to accommodate notions such as a bacteria bottle in the isolation chamber 15.
