PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article which hardly affects the appearance of apparel, and can be closely joined to the excretion area of a human body. SOLUTION: A plurality of elastic yarns are arranged in the longitudinal direction on the side closer to a top sheet 11 from the center in the thickness direction of a napkin (absorbent article) 10. As a back sheet 12, a stretchable sheet having stretchability in the width direction is used. Since the elastic yarns shrink, and also, the back sheet (stretchable sheet) 12 shrinks, the napkin 10 becomes a saddle shape. Although, the napkin 10 is thin, the center in the width direction is raised, and the napkin 10 can be closely brought into contact with the secretion area of a human body.
