The pivot-arm device provided for bearing, for example, a projecting screen is mounted on a table by means of a clamping securing means. The pivot arm of the pivot-arm device is freely rotatable about the axis of the pivot bearing, as a result of which there may be a risk of the table tilting up. The novel pivot-arm device is intended reliably to prevent uncontrolled pivot movements. In order to restrict the pivot path of the pivot arm, a first and a second adjustable stop are assigned to the pivot bearing of the pivot arm in order to restrict the pivoting movement and secure against rotation of the carrying arm. When the pivot arm pivots, these stops interact with in each case one counter-stop of the pivot bearing. By virtue of the fact that the pivot arm can be arrested, the pivot angle thereof can be restricted to a non-risk pivot range, with the result that the pivot arm cannot be pivoted beyond the edge of the table. When the table is displaced, the risk of it tilting up as a result of the pivot arm projecting can thus be prevented. |
