Yarn-swirling device

Swirling device for the swirling of multifilament yarns. It has a yarn channel. Yarn guides are arranged at distances from the inlet and outlet mouth of the yarn channel in such a way that, with the compressed-air supply switched off, they apply the yarn to the yarn channel so that it extends in the yarn channel parallel to its longitudinal direction, and the straight yarn regions located between the inlet and outlet mouths of the yarn channel and the yarn guides are inclined at acute angles to the regions of the geometrical longitudinal axis of the yarn channel which are located outside the yarn channel. Furthermore, the blowing angle of the blowing nozzle is smaller than 90@. The length of the yarn channel amounts to a maximum of 40 mm for smooth yarns and to a maximum of 30 mm for crimped yarns. The distances of the yarn guides from the yarn channel amount to a maximum of 30 mm. Especially high yarn-feed speeds and an especially good swirling of the yarn are achieved.
