The invention relates to a roof wind deflector made of plastic with a wind-deflecting surface for covering the front regions of the sliding-roof opening of a motor-vehicle roof and with front walls and side walls, the lower edges of which are clamped tightly using sealing profiles at a distance from the front edge and the side edges of the sliding-roof opening on the motor-vehicle roof by means of attachment devices, the upper parts of which are in operative connection with the wind-deflecting surface and the lower parts of which, which protrude into the sliding-roof opening, are in operative connection with the frame of said sliding roof. The deflector is composed of a right and a left half, which halves are clamped to each other by a connecting arrangement which seals the space between the halves, establishes the width of said deflector and includes a lower and an upper covering wall which is matched to the profile of the roof wind deflector and protrudes symmetrically over the maximum width of the space between the roof wind deflector halves. In the case of this roof wind deflector, the space between the lower and the upper covering wall is filled by the regions of the roof wind deflector halves which reach into the connecting arrangement, the outer and inner wall regions of which halves bear against the corresponding regions of the covering walls.
