A magazine for supplying covers and contact supports in rows to an automatic pin setting machine for flat connectors is constructed in the form of a solid block 1 which is built up from layers 2, 3 and 4 and consists of polystyrene foam. Continuous guide grooves 5, 5' are constructed in the solid block 1, in which guide grooves 5, 5' the covers and contact supports are supported such that they can slide displaceably one behind the other so that, after the magazine has been inserted into the pin setting machine (which is carried out in an oblique position), they slide under the influence of gravity into the feed system of the pin setting machine. The magazine capacity is increased by accommodating a large number of guide groove pairs in the solid block. Indexing onwards from an empty guide groove pair to an adjacent full one is achieved in a manner which is technically simple and at the same time reliable by means of a tooth system on the solid block surface, with which tooth system a toothed belt engages, which is driven by a pulsed-wheel controller. The resulting one-way magazine is superior to known belt feeds with respect to operating reliability and price. <IMAGE>
