PURPOSE:To perform a proper work by preliminarily forming a duct with a pipe matched to the sheath of a fiber cable and using a parachute-shaped cylinder, to which an optical fiber core is connected, and compressed air to extend the optical fiber into the duct. CONSTITUTION:The pipe matched to the sheath of the optical fiber cable is laid on a preliminarily determined extension route to form a duct 3, and an optical fiber core supply reel 2 is carried to the plate in the front end of the duct 3 and is mounted on a reel stand 21. The front end of an optical fiber core 1 is pulled out to the front end of the duct 3 and is inserted through an optical fiber core insertion hole 41 of a front cap 4 and is connected to an optical fiber core inserting part 51 of a parachute-shaped cylinder 5, and the front cap 4 is fitted to the end of the duct. The end of a hose from a compressed air generator is set to a compressed air inlet port 42 of the front cap 4, and a cap 6 is set to the rear end of the duct 3. The supply reel 2 is turned to feed out the core 1 and compressed air is blown into the duct 3 to move the parachute-shaped cylinder 5 forward in the duct, and laying is terminated when the cylinder 5 reaches the terminal part. |
