The invention relates to a releasable connection between two sheet-like workpieces along a line. One workpiece bears an edge bead, part of which can be inserted in a positively locking manner into a groove provided on the edge of the other workpiece. The free space still remaining in the groove is filled by a counter-bead. One spaced-apart groove flank may be configured, in an interrupted manner, in the form of a series of hook-shaped crenellations. The holding-down means fixing the counter-bead in the groove is configured essentially in the form of a ladder and can be hooked in behind the hook-shaped crenellations and, in the flat state, be clipped to the groove-bearing workpiece.
