In the air-duct suspension according to the invention, the front air-duct sections (8) arranged on both sides of the swivel chair (1) are suspended on a linkage (10) which is attached at the rear end in a vertical rod joint (11) to the fixed air-duct tube (7, 9) and is connected at a distance in front of it to the swivel chair (1) via a linkage coupling (13) with sliding guide so that the linkage (10) with the attached air-duct tube (concertina tube 8) follows the lateral movements of the cutting arm (2) of the selective-cut heading machine. The linkage (10) preferably consists of a top supporting rod (14) and a bottom supporting rod (16) which is firmly connected to the top supporting rod (14) and to which the air-duct section (8) is attached. <IMAGE>
