PURPOSE:To increase a processing speed of a series of operation sequences by monitoring a motor speed at the time when the brake is applied to a motor, and executing the next operation sequence without waiting for a complete stop of the motor, when the motor speed attains a speed for exerting no influence on the next operation. CONSTITUTION:A motor driving part 12 is controlled in accordance with a prescribed sequence by an operation sequence controlling CPU (central control unit) 20 of a camera. A rotating speed of a motor 11 is detected by a speed detecting part 14. The speed detecting part 14 outputs a pulselike detecting signal E OUT in accordance with the rotating speed of the motor 11, and inputs it to the CPU 20. The CPU 20 controls a brake device 13 in accordance with a prescribed operation sequence of the camera, and applies the brake to the motor 11. The CPU 20 monitors the detecting signal E OUT from the speed detecting part 14, applies the brake to the motor 11 by the brake device 13, and thereafter, when the speed of the motor 11 attains a speed for exerting no influence on the next operation, the next operation in a series of operation sequences is executed. |
