The metal trunking base has a flat lower base plate (2) with vertical side walls (3,4). The upper edges of the walls (3,4) are bent inwards to provide rigidity and a blunt edge. Along the length of each wall is a line of holes (5). Pre-formed brackets (6) have two outer lips (8) on one edge of a plate (7) and a sprung punched-out catch (9) on the other, together with a turned-in ridge (11). Two such brackets are inserted in holes on opposite sides of the trunking. The ends of the box-seciton retaining bar are then placed into the brackets and pushed down so that the catches retain the ends of the bar.
|
