<p>Power feed system for discharge wire-electrode machining appts. which comprises a 1st power feed section (51) provided on the line followed by a wire electrode (1) and a retractable 2nd power feed section (52) which can be moved to contact the wire electrode and in which the wire electrode is selectively contacted by the 1st or 2nd power feed section. The 1st power feed section (51) serves for rough cutting and has a low inductance power supply circuit (7) using, e.g., a coaxial cable (73). The 2nd power feed section (52) serves for finishing work and has a power supply circuit (6) using, e.g., a low capacitance cable. The wire electrode is normally contacted by the 1st power feed section but is moved out of contact with this section when the 2nd power feed section is moved into contact with it in response to switching element (61, 71) action.</p> |
