<p>The machine is driven in the direction of arrow (12) in order to pull a shear plate (10) underneath soil in which bulbs (20) have been grown. The soil and products underneath which the shear has passed are fed by a conveyor (14) upwardly and rearwardly onto a sifting mechanism (16). Soil is separated from the sifting mechanism (16) to return to the ground, and a roller (18) at the rear of the machine compacts the soil before returning the separated bulbs (20) to the ground. The machine is powered by winding up a cable (26) which is fixed at a location in front of the machine.</p> |
