<p>The universal joint (not shown) includes a cross having a body (28) and trunnions (32) extending therefrom. Each trunnion (32) is received in a bearing cup (20) having an open end with an internal annular shoulder (48) near the open end. The universal joint seal (50) comprises a resilient sealing member (52) having at least two inner circular lips (54, 56) which engage the trunnion (32) near the cross body (28) and at least two outer circular lips (58, 60) which engage the internal surface (44) of the bearing cup (20) between the open end and the annular shoulder (48). The sealing member (52, 68, 92) further includes an additional lip (64) which engages the annular shoulder (48) and a spaced additional lip or ridge (62) which engages the body (28) of the cross adjacent the trunnion (32).
