PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of conveyance and dehydration by constituting of a screw of the 1st screw on a sludge supplying side and the 2nd screw on a cake discharging side rotated at the speed lower than the speed for the 1st screw. CONSTITUTION:When flocculated sludge is supplied into a sludge supplying port 3 by rotating a screw 5, the sludge filled between the 1st screw vanes 10 is dehydrated and is reduced to have smaller volume. A prescribed space is provided between the vane 10 and the 2nd screw vane 13 in the juncture between the 1st screw 6 and the 2nd screw 7 and therefore the sludge conveyed by the screw 6 is heaped and compacted in said part, by which the sludge is forced and filled between the vanes 13 and 13. The sludge conveyed by the screw 7 is treated with good conveying efficiency without creating any cavity on the rear side of the vanes. |
