PURPOSE:To obtain an electrosensitive transfer recording medium suitable for printing characters or images with high resolution, by using a heat-, photo- or electron ray curable resin as a binder for at least one of a photo-thermal converting layer and an intermediate layer. CONSTITUTION:A light-reflective layer 2 capable of being removed by electrosensitive recording is provided on one side of a light-transmitting base 1, whereas a photo-thermal converting layer 3, an optional intermediate layer 5 and a thermally transferrable solid ink layer 4 are sequentially provided on the other side of the base. A binder used for at least one of the photo-thermal converting layer 3 and the intermediate layer 5 is a heat-, photo- or electron ray curable resin. An interfacial adhesive force generated at the time of coating is by far weaker in the case of the curable resin than in the case of a thermoplastic resin. Namely, an effect on the release of the ink layer from the photo-thermal converting layer can be expected. With the photo-thermal converting layer comprising the curable resin as the binder or the intermediate layer comprising the curable resin thus provided, the transferrability of the ink of the ink layer to the surface of an image-receiving layer at the time of separation of this electrosensitive transfer recording medium and the paper from each other is markedly improved. |
