PURPOSE:To permit control of the shape of a rolling stock over a wide range by making combination use of the axial movement of intermediate rolls, the roll bending in a vertical direction, the horizontal movement of moving blocks grasping chocks for supporting work rolls and the horizontal movement of support rollers. CONSTITUTION:This multi-stage rolling stand is equipped with respectively a pair of the work rolls 1, 2, intermediate rolls 5, 6 and back up rolls 15, 16 in a vertical direction. The rolls 5, 6 have the same curved contour and are provided vertically point-symmetrically as the mounting positions are dislocated 180 deg. relative to each other. The support rollers 25, 26 are provided to the barrel length ends of the rolls 1, 2. The axial movement of the rolls 5, 6, the roll bending in the vertical direction, the horizontal movement of the moving blocks grasping the chocks 7, 8 for supporting the rolls 1, 2 and the horizontal movement of the rollers 25, 26 are used in combination in the shape control of the rolling stock. The shape control of the rolling stock over a wide range is thereby realized. |
