PURPOSE:To attain the effective utilization of a memory by invalidating a stored picture data after prescribed numbers of polling communications are conducted in a facsimile equipment provided with a storage function and a polling function. CONSTITUTION:When the operator inputs a polling tansmission numbers corresponding to all the number of receiving stations by operating a ten-key 10K, the transmission number data is recorded in a polling number counter PTC of a file managing table. Further, after the operator conducts the polling transmission by the number of times to be set, picture data for this polling transmission is invalidated immediately thereby preventing the polling transmission state for an unnecessary longer time.
