ELECTRODE LOCALIZING APPARATUS FOR SPLINT USED FOR MUSCULAR STIMULATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide one set of electrode positioning devices which allows a clinical physician to continuously and quickly evaluate efficiency in the layout of various electrodes on hands and feed of a patient. SOLUTION: A set of electrode localizing apparatus is arranged for a skin contact surface electrode to be used for the electric stimulation of a muscle together with a splint. The set contains at least one electrode localizing apparatus arranged in a spoon-like structure so that a recessed surface thereof substantially fits a first surface of a hand or a foot of a patient, at least one surface electrode specified in size, position and direction which is securely mounted on the recessed surface and a terminal means for the connection of at least one of the electrodes to the source of a stimulation current. The terminal means can be accessed from the rear of the recessed surface to allow the introduction of the electrode localizing apparatus between the hand or foot and the internal surface of the splint. A means is provided to catch the localizing apparatus at the specified final duplicable position relative to the splint.
