PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent impact noise between a rocking cam and a cam lever in a transfer device. SOLUTION: This transfer device 20 is constituted of an elastic body transfer roller 21 disposed to contact with/separate from a toner image carrier 2, the rocking cam 24 making the roller 21 contact/separate, a clutch 25 disposed coaxially with the cam 24 and rotating the cam 24, the cam lever 23 pivotally supporting the roller 21 and rocked by the cam 24, a spring 26 fixed on the lever 23 and generating the contact force of the roller 21 with the image carrier 2, and a pressing lever 27 generating load having a reverse phase to load acting on the cam 24 from the lever 23. The load acting on the cam 24 from the lever 23 is cancelled by the load from the lever 27.
