The pipework e.g. suspended from a ceiling is fixed in cavities of the ceiling. holes are drilled for entry of the threaded end of the pipe bracket, which is then secured inside the cavity. The pipe line (12) is suspended from the ceiling (14). The threaded bracket rod is passed through the opening (15) after which a next (16) is fitted to the threaded bracket rod. A guide ring (8) which slides on cards (6,7) is used to align the rod with the shaped bracket nut (4).
