PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink image receiving sheet which shows outstanding ink absorbing properties, water resistance and printability. SOLUTION: This ink image receiving sheet is constituted of a base an inorganic porous layer formed on at least one of the sides of the base and an organic porous layer formed on the inorganic porous layer. The inorganic porous layer contains a binder resin and inorganic granules at the ratio (weight ratio) of about 2/100-50/100. The organic porous layer is formed of a cellulose resin, a vinyl polymer, a polysulfone polymer or the like. The average vacancy diameter of the inorganic porous layer is about 0.1-20 μm and the percentage of vacancy is about 35-70%. Further, the average vacancy diameter of the organic porous layer is about 0.1-5 μm and the percentage of the vacancy of the organic porous layer is about 20-70%. In addition, the organic porous layer has a microphase separation structure by a phase conversion method. The thicknesses of the inorganic porous layer and the organic porous layer are in the ratio of about 0.5/1-10/1. |
