An inclined-bed machine-tool assembly is provided having a tool carriage movable in the y-axis and bearing detachable tools, a tool-storage magazine for tools not in use, and a tool-loading means for moving the tools to and from the storage magazine and loading them into, as well as unloading them from, the tool carriage.
