In a pendant luminaire having a fluorescent lamp and a reflector which is arranged to the side thereof or thereabove and which permits the air surrounding the lamp to flow off upwards through a slot above the fluorescent tube, the reflector is supported by an air distributing box for feeding fresh air into the space below the luminaire, or forms a part of the air distributing box.
