PURPOSE:To automatically determine a hygroscopic degree of a motor winding regardless of humidity by obtaining characteristics of change of insulation resistance to correspond to the change of winding humidity during the operation of a motor. CONSTITUTION:In an operating state of a motor 2, an insulation resistance, a temperature and an atmospheric humidity of a winding 3 are detected at given time intervals by an insulation resistance measuring apparatus 4, a temperature measuring device 5 and a hygrometer 6, respectively. First, insulation resistance/temperature characteristics are calculated and the result of such calculation is compared with a model value by a microcomputer 12 of a judging part 13. Then, time series comparison data thereof are divided into groups according to modes of humidity change and central values for respective groups are obtained so that a hygroscopic degree is evaluated on the basis of said central values. As a result, a moisture absorption state of the motor winding 3 can automatically de determined correctly online regardless of humidity. |
