A low power water driven turbine for operating with a head greater than 10 metres has an impeller consisting of a disc (1) with curved blades (2). The water inlet is formed by an axial pipe (6) with a sliding sleeve (5) at its end. This sleeve cooperates with the impeller hub (4) to form a nozzle which deflects the water in the radial direction. The volumetric flow of water is controlled by sliding the sleeve (5) axially on the pipe (6). The blades are in the form of circular arcs and are designed for maximum efficiency. USE - For small power outputs of less than 10 KW.
