Dry purificn. of flue gases to remove harmful impurities involves adding the fly ash with the minerals present in this after sepn. in a filter in dry and/or suspended form, opt. with addn. of conventional additives, with the flue gas leaving the fire, pref. flue gases in the medium (300-500 deg. C) and/or low (150-300 deg.C) temp. range, as in DE3308927. The improvement is that, after sepn. of the fly ash or mixt. of fly ash and additives, the flue gas is treated with a reducing gas, pref. NH3, and passed through a bed of A-charcoal or A-coke to remove the Nox, residual SO2, heavy metals and fly ash.
