The numeral and symbol display part DSP2 is equipped with a 7-segment display device DN1 for copy magnification, a 7-segment display device DN2 for the quantity of copies, a symbol groups size for indicating the size and direction of paper, a symbol group Serr for indicating various abnormalities, a jam display device Sjam, a ready display symbol Sok, a wait display symbol Swat, a copy density symbol Sden, and a service-man call symbol Ssm. If trouble occurs to a copying machine itself, the symbol Ssm blinks and other displays are erased at the same time; and the display part DSP1 displays a message indicating a handling method for the abnormality. |
