MAGNETIC RECORDING/REPRODUCING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To use just a single motor to drive reel base to draw out a tape and to drive the tape and therefore to reduce the cost of a magnetic recording/ reproducing device, by providing a clutch mechanism between a driving wheel to which the power is transmitted from the motor and a wheel to be driven which is coupled to a tape drive/draw-out mechanism. CONSTITUTION:The power generated from a capstan DD motor is transmitted to a driving wheel 2. An interlocking member 4 is set between the wheel 2 and a wheel 3 to be driven which is coupled to a tape draw-out mechanism and a tape drive mechanism to control a transmission state or non-transmission state of the power. The member 4 can move toward the radius direction of the wheel 3 along a groove part 3b of the wheel 3 and is usually energized in the direction where an interlocking state is secured between both wheels 2 and 3. Then a contact is secured between a tip abutting part 4a of the member 4 and a tip cam face 7a of an abutting member with the spring force of a 2nd elastic member 8 energized by the member 7. Thus the revolving power of the wheel 2 is not transmitted to the wheel 3.
