The heat exchanger comprises two consecutive steam spaces. In the first the steam goes upwards and in the second downwards. These are pipes for the supply of steam to the first steam chamber and its removal from the other chamber, for the removal of condensate, passage of the lye, etc. The heat exchanger contains vertical heat transfer tubes through which lye flows through the steam spaces. Specifically the heat exchanger comprises cylinder inside further cylinder forming an outer steam chamber and an inner steam chamber. The steam passes upwards in one chamber and downwards in other chamber. There are openings in the inner chamber through which steam passes. The condensate formed in the other chamber leaves through outlet 8, and condensate from chamber through a pipe. (Provisional Basic previously advised in Week E03). |
