PURPOSE:To use a recording/reproducing head and also to obtain a large reproduction output with a compact magnetic head device, by forming a boosting transformer on the same substrate as a magnetic induction type thin film magnetic head in a thin film production process. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic induction type thin film magnetic head 20 and a boosting transformer 30 are formed on the same nonmagnetic substrate 40 in a thin film production process. The magnetic core of the head 20 consists of a lower magnetic core 21 and an upper magnetic core 22 in a ring shape having partly a magnetic gap 23. A head coil 24 is insulated from the core 21 by an insulated layer 25. The magnetic core of the transformer 30 consists of a lower magnetic core 31 and an upper magnetic core 32 in a ring shape having no magnetic gap. A primary coil 33 is insulated from a secondary coil 34 by the core 31 and an insulated layer 35. The coil 33 is connected to the coil 24 and a connection line 41; while the coil 34 is connected to a leader line 42. The reproduction voltage produced by the coil 24 is boosted by the transformer 30. |
