PURPOSE:To enhance recording sensitivity and to improve moisture resistance by constituting a titled medium in such a manner that the efficiency of light absorption to a recording layer is enhanced by a reflective layer essentially consisting of Cr and that the change rate of reflected light before and after recording is increased by transparent material layers. CONSTITUTION:The reflective layer 2, the transparent material layers 3, 5, the recording layer 4 and a protective layer 6 are respectively formed on a substrate 1 and light is projected thereto from one side or two sets of recording media are adhered with the reflective layers 2 faced inside and the light is projected thereto from both sides, by which recording, reproduction and erasure are executed. The reflective layer 2 essentially consisting of Cr enhances the absorption efficiency of incident rays to the recording layer 4. Since said layer has a small heat conductivity, the thermal diffusion to the surroundings is small at the time of the projection and the recording layer is efficiently heated up; in addition, the smaller light power density to crystallize the amorphous phase is necessitated. The transparent material layers 3, 5 enhance the light absorption efficiency by the multiple interference effect thereof and increase the change rate of the reflected light and transmitted light before and after the recording so that the higher SN is obtd. |
