<p>PURPOSE:To simplify constitution and assembly, by a method wherein, in an electromagnetic type air pump which is utilized for the feed of suction air to an aquarium fish water bath and the like, a resilient sheet located between the two division half bodies of a valve housing is functioned as a check valve for suction and discharge. CONSTITUTION:An air pump is formed such that a diaphragm 4 is airtightly engaged with the one end of a valve housing 3 having a check valve (a resilient sheet) 10 for suction and discharge. Through attraction and repulsion of a permanent magnet 5 along with alternating inversion of polarity of an electromagnet 2, the diaphragm 4 is vibrated through a vibrator 6 to effect exhaust of air. In this case, a valve housing 3 is divided into two half bodies with the resilient sheet 10 therebetween. The one half body 8 is formed in a manner to have an annular valve hole 13 positioned to the peripheral part of an opposing contact surface and an annular valve chamber 14 positioned at a central part, and meanwhile, the other half body 9 is formed in a manner to have and annular valve chamber 19 and a valve hole 20 positioned facing the valve hole 13 and the valve chamber 14.</p> |
