PURPOSE:To enable control of a fine flow rate through simple structure, employing a pressure wave by means of a pump alone, by a method wherein an electric deforming element is disposed to the wall surface of a line along the longitudinal direction of the line, and fluid in the line provided with the electric deforming element is orderly driven along a direction in which the fluid is forced to flow. CONSTITUTION:A minus electrode 3 is securely mounted in the direction of a flow passage 2 to a lower outer wall 1a of a line 1. A piezo-electric material 4, serving as an electric deforming element, is secured to a minus electrode 3, and plural plus small electrodes 5a-5f are secured at given intervals to the outer surface of the piezo-electric material. When a plus and a minus voltage are applied on the small plus electrodes 5a-5f and the minus electrode 3, respectively, only the portion, positioned facing each of the plus electrodes 5a-5f, of the piezoelectric material 4 is electrically deformed, and each of pressure waves Wa-Wf is generated in the position, situated facing the deformed portion, of the interior of the flow passage 2. The pressure waves Wa-Wf are respectively functioned so that fluid in the flow passage 2 is forcibly spread in the direction of the flow passage. This constitution forces fluid to advance through utilization of the pressure waves Wa-Wf. |
