PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition which is excellent in flexibility and handleability and can give a molding excellent in dimensional stability upon absorption of moisture, rigidity, etc., by mixing a reactant composition comprising an omega-lactam, a polymerization initiator and a polymerization initiator with a specified aromatic polyamide fiber. CONSTITUTION:An omega-lactam melt (a) (e.g., epsilon-caprolactam) containing a polymerization catalyst (e.g., bromomagnesium-caprolactam) and/or an omega-lactam melt (b) containing a polymerization initiator (e.g., toluene diisocyanate) and, optionally, a crosslinking agent, modifier, plasticizer, blowing agent, dye or pigment, antioxidant, internal mold release, etc., is mixed with 1-10pts.wt., per 100pts.wt. reactant composition comprising a mixture of components (a) and (b) at a volume ratio (a)/(b) of 5-1/1-5, aromatic polyamide fiber of an average fiber length of 0.4-3mm and a diameter of 5-25mum, having repeating units of formula I or II (wherein m and n are each >=40) in the molecular chain, e.g., poly(p- phenyleneterephthalamide). Then, components (a) and (b) are mixed together. |
