METHOD FOR CONTROLLING TEMPERATURE LINKED WITH FEED IN HEATING OF WIRE ROD

PURPOSE:To promote the adjustment work for working and to considerably decrease the length to be discarded of a wire rod by controlling the anode voltage of a heating power source in accordance with the conversion signal of a voltage by wire feed speed detection thereby heating the wire rod of irregular speeds automatically to a constant temp. in the same manner as in the stationary stage of the wire rod. CONSTITUTION:A tachogenerator 7 disposed to a revolving shaft of a coiler 6 outputs the voltage signal Vs corresponding to the feed speed of the wire rod W at the time of coiling the wire rod W past a heating coil C connected to a power source 10 and a working device 5 by the coiler 6. The signal is converted to the sq. rt. V signal by a sq. rt. converter 8. The sq. rt. V signal is outputted to an anode voltage control part 9. The product of the above-mentioned sq. rt. V signal and the proportional constant provided for each diameter of the wire rod W is calculated in the control part 9 and a control signal cs is outputted to an anode voltage transformer 1 of the power source 10 to control the anode voltage. Since the anode voltage is controlled by the signal sq. rt. V of the speed, the temp. of the wire rod W is eventually increased up to approximately the prescribed value by the passage through the coil C even if the feed speed of the wire rod W is irregular.
