PURPOSE:To enable the measurement of color of a light scattering substance accurately in a short time, by arranging a transparent plate so that its contact surface with the substance is located at a position ahead of a point where the innermost luminous fluxes irradiated from a light guide for illumination intersect with each other. CONSTITUTION:This colorimetry apparatus measures colors through a transparent plate 2 at the tip 1 thereof. A colorimetry head 5 which has the plate 2, a ring-shaped light guide 3 for illumination and a circular light guide 4 for receiving light built coaxially inside is inserted into light scattering substance and reflected and scattered light within the substance are receiving and focused. The light is spectrally disintegrated converted into currents and amplified to measure color. The transparent plate 2 is so arranged that the contact surface with the substance is located at a position ahead of a point G where the innermost luminous fluxes intersect as irradiated from the light guide 3. This enables accurate colorimetry in a short time by inserting the head 5 directly into a storage tank of the light scattering substance or the like without sampling thereof. Furthermore, analysis and color information of dispersed substance can be obtained. |
