PURPOSE:To obtain the titled quick-drying composition giving suppressed damage to the skin and having improved sterilization effect, by adding a specific emollient such as diisopropyl adipate, etc., to the titled composition containing ethanol for disinfection and chlorhexidine gluconate. CONSTITUTION:An antiseptic composition for finger containing (A) ethanol for disinfection and (B) chlorhexidine gluconate is added with (C) 0.1-1.0wt% one or more emollients selected from diisopropyl adipate, diisobutyl adipate, higher fatty acid polyoxyethylene glycerol of formula (R is 7-17C alkyl; n is integer of 1-30) and polyglycerol (condensation product of 5-15 glycerol molecules). The damage of skin caused by the component A, e.g. skin irritation, chapped skin, etc., is suppressed and the disinfection effect of the component B is further improved by the component C in the quick-drying composition produced by the above process. The composition is also useful for the sterilization of medical tools. |
