PURPOSE:To form complex print pattern properly onto the sideface of a soft tube, by fitting the soft tube over a receiving rod jig then pressing a transfer foil against the sidewall of the soft tube and rotating the soft tube as the transfer foil moves. CONSTITUTION:A straw supporting device 16 comprises an index table 44 supported rotatably, receiving jigs 46 arranged with equal angular intervals on one circle on said index table 44, a support 48 supported movably in vertical direction between upper and lower positions and two receiving shafts 50 arranged on said support 48. Receiving jigs 46 are cylindrical rods having outer diameters approximately same as the inner diameter of straw 20 and arranged vertically against the plane of the index table 44 while rotatably around the center line of the index table 44. Consequently, when the transfer foil is pressed against the straw supported on the receiving jig by means of press rolls then the press rolls are rotated, the straw can be rotated and a complex print pattern can be transferred properly onto the sideface of the cylindrical straw. |
