PURPOSE:To easily transfer knowledge within a proper range to a data base by determining the range of knowledge to be transferred from a knowledge base to the data base and a data structure expected in the data base by interactive processing. CONSTITUTION:A knowledge-data conversion program 104 includes a data structure definition system 105 and a data structure conversion system 106, and the data structure definition system 105 determines the range of knowledge to be transferred to the data base and the structure expected in the data base 102 by the interactive processing. The data structure conversion system 106, on the other hand, retrieves knowledge within the specific range in the knowledge base 100 and converted into data in the data structure determined by the data structure definition system 105, so that the data is stored in the data base 102. The knowledge base 100 and data base 102 are accessed through a knowledge base control system 101 and a data base control system 103.
