PURPOSE: A continuously variable transmission of a vehicle is provided to improve convenience by shifting gears automatically and easily with moving a shift gear up and down in expanding and contracting a link unit. CONSTITUTION: A continuously variable transmission for a vehicle is composed of a clutch(10) transmitting or shutting off power for combining and separating a motor gear(15) with contracting a linkage(7) inserted to a crankshaft(40) according to engine RPM(Revolution Per Minute); the motor gear receiving power from the clutch; a shift gear(23) moving back and forth by three linkages(18) fitted to a fixed shaft(16), and transmitting power from the motor gear to a driving gear(30); and the driving gear changing the rotation speed according to the position of the shift gear. Shifting is performed automatically and conveniently with simple structure.
