PURPOSE:To obtain a transfer sheet and recorded images with high fixability, by using at least one of specified vinyl acetate resins as a component of a binder, in a thermal recoding method in which recording is performed by releasing a transfer-type thermal sheet and a recording medium from each other. CONSTITUTION:A transfer-type thermal sheet 5 provided with a coloring material layer 4 comprising a binder 2 and a coloring matter 3 on one side of a base 1 and a recording medium 7 provided with a fixing layer 6 compatible with the binder 2 by coating are used. The sheet 5 and the image-receiving material 7 are set between a heat source 8 and a plate 9, with the coloring material layer 4 and the fixing layer 6 facing each other. A at least one of a vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer resin, an acryl-vinyl acetate copolymer resin, a methacryl-vinyl acetate copolymer resin and a vinyl acetate resin is used as a material for the binder 2. With the vinyl acetate resin used as the binder 2, adhesion of the layer 4 to the base 1 is enhanced, and since the vinyl acetate resin has high elongation at break and high breaking strength, the resistance to rubbing of the sheet 5 is enhanced. |
