<p>PURPOSE:To enlarge the degree of freedom in the designing of a pipe, by fixing a flange unit to the end of the main body of a bent pipe made of resin, which is a blow molded form. CONSTITUTION:The main body 23 of a pipe is formed by a general blow molding method and the straight section 27 and the retaining flange 29 thereof are mounted to a mold 36 as inserts. Resin material is injected into a cavity 39 through a sprue, a runner and a gate to mold the flange section 31 of the pipe. When a desired flexibility is obtained in the straight section 27 of the main body 23 of the pipe, the retaining flange 29 may be made smaller and the flange section 31 may be formed by a metallic material (such as aluminum or the like) or inorganic material (ceramics or the like) while the retaining flange 29 may be forced into the flange section 31. The main body 23 of the pipe is molded by blow molding in such a way, whereby the pipe may be formed through three dimensional bending.</p> |
