PURPOSE:To make the exchange of ink containers easier as well as quickly and exactly supply ink by a method in which ink container is connected with air holes provided in an ink supply path through a connector provided detachably. CONSTITUTION:A pipe 256 is attached to one end of a tube 254 and led to the air hole H of an ink supplier 261 through the pipe 256. A pipe 258 is attached to the other end of the tube 254, and the tip of the pipe 258 is led to the air hole 241H of an ink container 241. A ring 260 is attached to a part of the pipe 258 and is detachably set on the upside of the ink container 241. In supplying ink to the ink container 239, a cap 243 is removed from the container 241 and ink is supplied through the opening of the container 241. When the ink container 241 is exchanged, the ink container 239 can be freely exchanged by removing a detachment mechanism consisting of the pipe 258 and the ring 260 from the container 241. |
